The Dinuba Vocational Center
MISSION STATEMENT: The Dinuba Vocational Center is Committed to:

  • Providing businesses with a resource for hiring employees for positions that are in high demand.
  • Providing individuals with vocational training and specialized skills that are needed in the businessmarkets in Tulare and Fresno Counties.
  • Providing businesses with a resource for providing training to existing employees, including training which can lead to promotional opportunities.
  • Developing partnerships with employers, schools, and public agencies.

    INFORMATION

    The Dinuba Vocational Advisory Boards will oversee the curriculum that is offered at the Center. Its main function will be to identify the training and skill needs of the local business markets and implement a curriculum that will meet those demands. The Advisory Boards will consist of individuals from school institutions, local government, industry, the medical field, and private business.

    Reedley College is currently offering basic college and vocational training courses. Reedley College is also in the planning stages of offering courses in various health care programs such as Certified Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic and Medical Assistant.

    Proteus Inc., the State Center Community College District, and the Center for Applied Competitive Techniques will offer computer, manufacturing, warehousing, and other vocational training courses.

    Plans are in progress for developing a business-­ based curriculum to meet the needs of local employers such as Ruiz Foods, Odwalla Juices, Best Buy, and Patterson Dental.

    ABOUT THE DINUBA VOCATIONAL CENTER

    The Dinuba Vocational Center is a two story facility located at the corner of "L" and Fresno Streets in downtown Dinuba. Construction of the Dinuba Vocational Center facility began in December 2002 and was completed in December 2003. The first floor of the Center is 20,000 square feet and consists of eight classrooms, a medical lab, a large shop classroom, and large conference/meeting rooms. The second floor of the Center is over 19,000 square feet and is an open shell. The restrooms on the second floor are completed and the entire floor is available for leasing.

    The Dinuba Vocational Center is a 3.8 acre campus. It includes two parking lots located on Fresno and "M" Streets and two metal buildings that will be developed and utilized as training facilities. The City has also designated a 60,000 square foot area located on "M" Street between Merced and Mariposa Streets as a future expansion site.

    Local organizations may utilize the available conference rooms for company business meet­ ings, conferences and/or workshops.
